The shaft sleeve of the milling tool is supported in an environment second only to that of the cutting tool. In general, when designing and manufacturing the milling tool, little consideration is given to how to properly install, match and correct the precision bearing. Therefore, the blade chatter, vibration and other causes premature damage to the tool and shaft sleeve. It is usually mounted on a combination milling cutter rod and can be placed anywhere between the spindle and the outer supporting shaft sleeve. One or more shaft sleeves can be mounted on the cutter rod to provide adequate support and can also be used as adjusting pads to adjust the axial length.
